Neal Nealis graduated from University of Illinois-Urbana with a degree in engineering. After a brief two year period designing and building petrochemical plants for Amoco Chemicals Corporation he entered the University of Illinois - Chicago college of dentistry and graduated in 1979. He has been in private practice since graduation with offices currently in the Streeterville neighborhood of Chicago. His practice focuses on restorative dentistry. During his years in practice he has also taught in the departments of restorative dentistry at both Loyola University and University of Illinois. He is past president of the UIC college of dentistry alumni association and is credited with starting the mentorship program which is jointly sponsored by the Chicago Dental Society. He is a member of the Odontographic Society, Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society and the American Dental Society. He periodically participates in humanitarian missions. The most recent mission was to communities in southwestern Peru.

Outside of the office, Dr. Nealis has been married for 37 the same person and has two beautiful daughters. One of his daughters designs jewelry and the other works for the Chicago White Sox. His interests are reading, excercising and travel.
